It was released on 29th March, 2019 by The Acting Registrar General of Corporate Affairs Commission, Lady Azuka Azinge that the number of registered companies in Nigeria is 3,098,193. According to the commission, these companies were registered in Part A, B and C categories from the inception of the CAC in 1990 to March 21, 2019.

As at September 23 2021, it was recorded that over 245,000 small and medium scale enterprises were registered under the free federal government CAC registration scheme. We have missing data for 2020 and yet to gather that of 2022.
